Wade works in a Magnet designated hospital in southeast Virginia as an Emergency Room nurse, having been in this role since 2022. He completed his RN program at a Reading Hospital in Pennsylvania, and graduated with 1200+ hours of clinical experience. Previous degrees and professional experience prepared him well for his career as an RN.
After graduating in 2022, Wade entered the Emergency Medicine specialty that same year as a new grad at a hospital in Virginia. More than 2 years later, and this specialty and patient population is exactly what Wade wanted out of nursing and has included many opportunities for learning and growth.
Wade is passionate about ministry and community involvement, and worked for 2 years with Reading City Church as their outreach director and in partnership with their media team. This involved collaborating with local organizations, and involvement with local events.
Since 2016, Wade has worked seasonally as a high adventure guide, including whitewater rafting and rock climbing in Northern California. This involves significant safety management and risk mitigation, as well as nutritional planning and medical preparedness.
2023-2025 BSN (Comp. March 2025)
2019-2022: RN and Associates
2015-2018: Bachelor of Biblical Studies

EPIC Charting Experience
Having thrived in roles that are faced paced, demand attention, and involve risk management/prioritization, Wade's professional goals include working in emergency medicine. While his start in nursing may not land him in the ED, it is a goal, just as more long term priorities may involve continuing education to become a Nurse Practitioner or nursing instructor for future nurses.
